Head Coach: Jessica Larson
Meet Coach Jessica Larson
I have been coaching for several years now. This is my third year coaching for Mt. Hood Volleyball Club. I also coach several teams at Hood View School in Boring, OR. It is a newer program and it has been fun bringing volleyball to the students that attend there. A few years ago I coached the JV 2 team for Estacada High School. I love coaching at all levels and have really enjoyed coaching my daughters and her friends. I have been playing since I was about 10 years old. I played all four years at Estacada High School and enjoyed playing club until I graduated. I played recreationally in college after graduating from Western Oregon University where I received a BS in Business Management. I enjoyed playing on a rec team with co-workers until 2020. I love watching athletes grow in skills and confidence. It is so fun to watch them accomplish skills that they didn't think were possible. I enjoy seeing a group of athletes who may not have known each other come together to form a special bond through hard work and dedication. It is amazing what can happen in a season! I grew up in Estacada and moved back in my early 20's with my wonderful husband when we got married. I have three amazing kids, one boy and two girls, who are my whole world. We are a sports family running between soccer, volleyball and basketball most of the year. We enjoy summers in the sun and on the water. We also have two dogs and a cat who round our family. A few of my favorite things: I love feel good movies and comedies! Laughing is great medicine. My favorite foods are probably Mexican and Thai but I enjoy many different foods! And you can never go wrong with dark chocolate. I am definitely a dog person, but if I could have a farm animal I think it would be a miniature Highland Cow. My golden-doodle, Thor looks a little like one.
